The ten slopes of pyhä present a challenge to everyone, but Northern slopes offer a variety for less experienced skiers also. Pyhä has heavily artificialy snowmaking facilities. PYHÄ - LUOSTO – THE JEWELS OF LAPLAND

Pyhä-Luosto is one whole area that is comprised of two fell resorts in the middle of Finnish Lapland (only 90 minutes from the Arctic Circle and 3 hours from the Sampo Ice-Braker) with excellent facilities and well organised activity services. Modern hotels, spa facilities, cosy log cabins, well groomed downhill and cross country ski slopes and tracks, outdoor fun and adventure rounded off with fine wine and cuisine, all combine to ensure a successful holiday.

At Pyhä-Luosto, you can be active all year round. The winter in Pyhä-Luosto offers skiing, visits to Pyhä-Luosto Husky and Reindeer Park and the Amethyst Mine (the only one in whole Europe which welcomes visitors), snowmobile, reindeer and husky safaris in the snowy forest and snowshoe hikes to the untouched fell slopes. All of these and many more wonderful experiences which soon transport you away from routine of daily life.

Choices for a summer adventures includes hiking up to Amethyst Mine or in the Pyhä-Luosto National Park, canoeing, fishing, bicycling and swimming. A number of memorable summertime events will be arranged at Pyhä-Luosto, distinguished for their intimate atmosphere and content. The Aittakuru Amphitheatre and the “concert hall” built on the Luosto slopes offer venues difficult to find elsewhere. The best known events are for example Kuru Soi –festival week, Pyhä Unplugged and Luosto Classic.

This apartment is a funtionable unit for a small group or family. There are two separate beds in one bedroom and a bunk bed in one bedroom. There is a sauna and a spacious balcony in the apartment.

The Amethyst Spa

The waves in the grouse-shaped pool and various massage points, as well as the whirlpool bath of the amethyst cave, create the warmth of the tropics in the middle of winter.The temperature in the pool department is approx. 32 degrees Celsius and that of the water, 30 degrees C. The Finnish and Turkish saunas of the sauna department, together with the massage, care and gym services, serve to create a relaxing environment.

We recommend the ”affordable together” package: spa+pizza 15 €/adults and 11 €/children or family price 42 €/family 2+2.

The Amethsyt Spa is open every day 10:00-20:00.
